Help....ICK TROUBLE

:notsure: I recently took all of my fish out of my reef tank and put them in a QT....I have been taking out and treating individual fish but more seem to keep coming down with ick. I plan to keep them out of the main tank for 4-6 weeks.
I have them in a 10 gal QT with copper in the water to kill ick. Only inverts left in main tank.
How long does it take for copper to kill ick? Fish have been in QT with copper for 3 days and coral bueaty still has saltlike white spots.
Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? I followed the instructions on the bottle for the copper treatment. :help:

you should continue copper treatment for 3 weeks.
ensure to use proper test kit to ensure level is maintained.
you will be sure to rid main tank of parasite if you keep fallow for 7-8 weeks. 8 weeks preferred.
good luck.

I am using a product called "Copper Safe"....The other fish don't have the white spots anymore.....The Coral Bueaty's spots are smaller and more raised than the other fishes....looks like salt granules sprinkled on her.....Hers are staying the same.....Could it be something else?????? :help:

the parasites can stay attached for 3-7 days. if copper is at correct dosage you should start seeing improvement shortly after that time.
keep in mind the fish still has parasites that have not matured yet and you will not see those for another 4-5 days..so it could take up till another week or so.
