I believe this is some sort of bivalve, it is in the hole through the rock. It will close if I shine a light on it. Any ideas?

the pick is pretty blurry. but it just looks like some tyhpe of clam or scallope. they dont realy do anything. dont do any harm. and dont eat enough organics and phytoplankton to really be something noticably benificial.... those are, however, the nice little things you find on LR :cheer: it will probably die, but if you have high nutrients or dont skim a lot, it coudl easily survive.

That piece of live rock I have had for about 2 yrs. Just noticed it.
Shows how many things you can still find on LR

They can grow slow it may have been itty bitty at first. Fun to have if they are colorfull. Kind of one of those exclussively nuetral creatures don't do anything real good don't harm anything either.

I have one in my tank also. While searching for a mantis shrimp, I came across him. I moved the rock he was in to my fug and he has been living there ever since. Doesnt really do anything, and is brown, so not much to look at.
