Sorry can not get a picture. I have these things on the tanks glass. They are about the size of a pencil tip and clear on the outside and white on the inside. They do not seem to move but I have about 30 of them. Any ideas :help:

Just a thought, but could they be squirts- do they have a tiny little fan or feather like arial coming out of the tops? If so, could very well be squirts -otherwise have no clue.
If squirts they filter out excess nutrients and while they are unsightly do a decent job- keep your eye on whatever it is and see how they grow- as they get bigger you might get a better idea

Being on the glass my first thought would be pods, they don't seem to move much when the lights are on,but they will.Sit and watch one of them for a few minutes and see if he moves at all,if so probably some kind of pods.Yes that is a good thing!

I will watch tonight to see if they move. Some look like a small white spot with 6 finger like legs. Like a spider looks way to tiny to even be baby starfish. Others are a white spot with a clear like gel around them.

The first description sounds like hydroid jellyfish, the second could be flatworms{the type that eats copepods}.

i had a new baby starfish in my tank once and i thought it was cool, so i kept it. one month later, i finally noticed that my tank was covered in them and they were consuming all my coraline at a rapid rate. i have since then picked off with a tweezers at least 150 of them. they are really small, have any # of legs, and hard to notice at first. but once they are reproducing its a battle. look up asterina star in wetwebmedia.com and youll see some pics. they reproduce by dropping their legs along the way, making more babies all the time, constantly. very evil critters. 3 weeks later i still pick off at least 2 a day. i recommend taking out every rock and getting out every one you can find immediately. my tank really took a blow from them a**holes.

I have tons of asterina stars in my tank and have not had any problems with them at all. I like them, they add diversity. There a a few cases where people say they have eaten coraline and whatnot but overall they seem pretty harmless.

Do you have snails?? because every few weeks or so mine lay eggs, hundreds of white "blobs" on the reverse side you can see the larvae.
