Help, I'm leaking!

Our 30 gallon is leaking. It is a slow leak, but nevertheless a leak. I bought a 45 gallon that has the same measurements. I have premixed 15 gallons of new water and am thinking I will transfer water from the 30 into the 45 along with the sand, live rock, fish, and anenome. I am worried about the tank recycling. Any thoughts or suggestions?

It could recycle, but it would probably be short and you could control it with water changes, save as much water from the old tank as you can.

Oh, I hope it works. Living in NW Iowa it is very hard to access to salt water fish and inverts. Many trips to Omaha and Des Moines. I have basic fish, but the condy anenome, feather duster, mushrooms, and polyups would be hard to replace. On the bright side if any of you ever need a pig or cow I can hook you up. Thanks.

It measures 36'' x 12'' which is the same as the 30 gallon. It is however almost twice as tall.
