How strange is this. I have had my 55 set-up since February and introduced 2 Cinnamon Clowns as my first livestock. Although they came from two different shipments, My LFS had them in a "tidepool" set-up where it appears that they became a pair. They have been lively and interesting little piglets since bringing them home. About a month later, I got a small Singapore Angel, (just beautiful), that the clowns ignored & never bothered. Being a shy fish, he tended to only feed on green algae at first. Slowly he came around, and now eats with the clowns and is friends with them. So it's been like this for a month. We took a trip down to our LFS yesterday, in hopes to complete our ecosysytem with one more fish and a cleaner shrimp. The initial fish we bought didn't work out so well (Impulse buy!!! Don't do it!!) so we took it back and got a tiny little Barnacle Blennie who happened to come with his own little house, (shell) for protection. Got home from work today, went to feed the fish and check up on the new livestock and have yet to see the Blennie, and also discovered several pieces of what is left of my Cleaner shrimp. :scared: So the question for ya'll is: :help:
Has anyone ever heard of Cinnamon Clowns not only eating cleaner shrimps, but snails as well. (I keep finding empty shells & testing 0 for ammonia) They've managed to eat 10 so far. Am I not feeding them enough? Twice a day, variety of flakes, frozen and seaweed. Do I just have an unusual pair of clowns? Or did they just dominate the tank cuz they were the first ones in? :notsure:
We really another cleaner but not if he's going to die. And the shrimp was large and very healthy. My clowns are average size. Any suggestions or confirmations would be appreciated. There's a chance the Blennie is still around hiding in a new spot, which I hope is true. However, my gut is telling me otherwise.
