We could narrow it down real quick by asking which you like better... Cold or warm weather.
Florida's awesome as far as a place to live, but the atmosphere or attitude, if you will, is so casual and laid back that finding a job to suit your field may not be as easy as in other areas. Atlanta would be a place to live, I would guess...

Stay at home and put all the money you save in a separate savings account. After you graduated and get a job, BUY a house or condo. Instead of throwing money away on rent, you can take the same amount and pay your

with it.

I know at 16 the last thing you want to think about is a

[hr]
. But believe me, there is nothing worst than trying to cover rent when you are just starting out and then having nothing to show for it.
Besides, chicks dig a guy who is financially responsible and has his own place.

if you are close to your family stay in state.......i liked living at home while going to school and working and having money instead of dishing it out on rent....i then finished school had a nice savings nest not much but enough for a deposit on home then now i got my own digs.

definitely San Francisco... and I'm not saying it just because I live there lol I would suggest going to the California Culinary Institute. They offer the Le cordon bleu program, which is topnotch for becoming a chef. San Francisco is one of the top dining cities... plus it's so diverse and an all around great city to live in... you would have a blast!!! I know a lot of people that are attending that school and everyone says it's such a great experience. The students cook every Sunday for brunch, so I may be going next weekend.
this is the link to the school http://www.baychef.com/about_location.asp

Well, I currently live near Seattle, which is where I was born, and I grew up in the Bay Area in California, so I know quite a bit about both. If you like rain and people who keep to themselves, definitely aim for Seattle. If you like crowded cities, crime, and a high cost of living, head for San Fran. If you like where you're at, stay in Florida. Can't say I know much about Wisconsin, though I don't imagine the weather is very nice.
Personally, as someone who has been through both a technical school and is currently in college, I wouldn't worry too much about where you're going to go to school. You won't learn anything really useful until you start working in that field, and at that point no one is really going to care where you went to school; you're going to have to prove yourself with skills, not a degree.

Have to agree, It sucks down here in SD also. I dont know why anyone would choose to live here. Expensive, high taxes, crime, traffic, overpopulation, earthquakes and lots of granolas. Skill level and compentency is of more importance IMO.

I lived in Palo Alto for a couple of years, then in the East Bay in a small town called Point Richmond, right by the San Rafael bridge, for about 8 years. My father currently lives in Pleasanton, so I get down to the bay quite often these days. Where abouts do you live?

I am a San Mateo native. I do spend a lot of time in San Francisco and I plan on moving either there or Burlingame. My dad works in Palo Alto. He works at Alta Mesa memorial park. Some places in Pal Alto are really nice. I go to Stanford all the time... I am terribly afraid of East Palo Alto!

LOL. Well, East Palo Alto is a lot like Richmond, where I spent quite a bit of time and went to school for many years. I made it out alive. BTW - What are you studying?

Psychology... I plan on working with kids, so I have tons of school ahead of me! I have never been to Richmond, but I do hear that it's pretty bad… I think they have the most homicides out of the whole Bay Area. My dad says that they get a lot of murder victims from East Palo Alto. I stay away from areas like that! I love where I live and I love the bay area. I also think I would like Seattle. I prefer rain to the sun!

Yeah, Richmond can be pretty bad. There are okay parts, though, too. When I hear people around here talk about crime or bad neighborhoods, I tell them they don't know what they're talking about. And as far as rain goes, you'll definitely get plenty of it here. We do get our nice days too, though. Good luck with psychology. I always thought that was an interestng subject. Consider taking some sociology classes as well. The two subjects are somewhat related.
