Help Me Complete My Tank

not sure if this will help you out but my overflow box will handle 800 gph and my pump is 700gph and this is a 80 gal tall with a 20 gall sump/fuge i also have used hoses instead of any pvc. I also have a DSB in my main tank. With a mix of LS. here is a pic of my sump....very simply setup

This is right when i set the sump/fuge up.....looks a lot different. Also another easy way to maintain Ca levels is by dripping kalkwasser. Im no expert nor do i go to school for this hobby .....I have learn everything that i no just by reading on the internet and messages boards.. IMO there are people that are not marine biologist that can run circles around some of the people who are. No need to make everything so technical and just ask simple questions and you will get a simple answer and plus it will help people who are not biologist or studing it understand what the heck you guys are talking about.....Keep it simple

OK everyone thanks for your advice, tips and input in helping me renovate my 75g marine tank. I have not been ignoring the board, it's just that I have been implementing some of changes we have been discussing and re-reading my favorite book which is titled "The simple guide to marine aquariums" by Jeffrey Kurtz. The knowledge gained from you guys along with this book has helped me a great deal in transforming my marine tank into a healthy environment. The renovation process is a slow process as I do not want to crash my tank nor to I want to cause any mini-cycles. I have posted photos of some of the projects that have been completed so fare and I am still open to suggestions from you all

1)You will noticed in the before photos (located at the top of this thread), that I set my tank up with no back ground and used PH rock as part of my substrate ( turned out not to be a good ideal for me)

2) You will notice in the after photos that upon the advice of renogaw I partially drained my tank so that I could move it a couple of inches from the wall, which allowed me to put cover the back of my tank with blue sticky aquarium paper, I also took advantage of scooping out the PH rock and will be replacing it shortly with LS or Pearl Beach Aragonite haven't made-up my mind as to which way to go yet.

I took your advice and as you can see from photos # 1 which is the before picture and photo# 2 which was taken after I added an additional lbs of LR made a difference and next week I will add another lbs which will put me around lbs of LR.

I think I will go with the Pearl Beach Aragonite instead of more LS to replace the PH rock. The benefits of this product by Seachem ares as follows:
