wll guys i just checked all my water parameters for the week and found what i believe is no good
no2 .05
ph 8.0
alk low
ammonia .25
phos .02
i did a 15 per water change yesterday are these really that bad i stay up on water changes doing a 15 per atleast once a week please help me

well i run a wet dry rated for a 200 gallon tank a proclear skimmer rated for 250 gallon tank a fluval 404 which has activated carbon and a phosban reactor a 15 watt uv filter why would everything raise everything has been at 0 for the last month

you have amonia in your tank are you still cycling. how long has your tank been up. if your tank is cycling you shouldnt be doing a water change yet. really need more info. what is in the tank and stuff

well i thought mytank was done cycling it is currently a 125 gallon FOWLR with a
regal tang 2 yellow tail damsels 2 cleaner shrimps 2 fire shrimps 6 snails and a sand sifting star it has been up and running for about 3 months and i thought the cycle was done i have 75 lbs of lr and 40 lbs of ls HELP ME PLEASE i dont wanna kill anything

Don't panic! You're readings aren't all that bad! Any idea where your nitrites and nitrates are at? Temp? Salinity? Blood alcohol le...oh heck, sorry! That's for me!!

Since it's only been three months or so it might still be cycling. When did you add liverock and livestock? If you added all that at once or too quickly it might just be that you had some bacteria from the original cycling but all the extra critters are putting off more ammonia than your current bacteria can handle.
Watch your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels VERY closely for awhile!! If the ammonia starts to go up too high (at least higher than 1.0) do a small water change to bring it back down. The bacteria will multiply to where they can handle the bioload. Just hang in there!

What test kit are you using? Aquarium Pharmaceuticals (sp) is known to give false ammonia readings.
