Help me save my fish....

I had to move all my fish to a QT today due to my first Ich uprising. The move went smoothly as can be expected until my Powder Blue Tang tried to dart away from me in the display tank and swam into my Carpet anenome. I quickly removed him and placed him in the QT, but isn't looking good. About half his body is covered in a film (I assume from the anenome...) and he alternates from swiming llike normal to kind of drifting at a 60 degree angle. Is there anything I can do to him to help? Is he going to make it?
Thanks
Chad
P.S. Incidently he was also a big grazer of algae in the DT, and since there isn't the buildup of algae in the QT what should I do to get him to eat? He isn't a big eater at feeding times. I usually feed homemade food with some lettuce on a clip also. I have been trying Formula Two flakes and I am going to try some brine shrimp just to get him eating...Any other ideas?

Man sorry to here about such a tragedy.

The only thing i want to tell you is i really believe in the instant ocean lifeguard medicine. It is one big pill per 10 gallons that you put in a provided floating life preserver thing. Cures a number of ailments well and quickly.
Also since it got zapped by anemone be sure to add a good slime coat replisher type stuff. Should be okay on the eatting thing for a while if it was well fed before. Try the different algae sheets available by ocean nutrition my tangs love it. good luck

You've got them all in a qt. Have you begun hypo? If not now's the time to start. Remember do it very slowly to minimize stress. Keep the lights off and try to stay away as much as you can to reduce the stress level for a day. Don't feed until tomorrow. Cyclops is great food, my tanks go nuts when I feed cyclops. Check your levels of your qt regularly and try not to overfeed. It's easy to get water parameters out of whack in a qt so have some make up water ready to go for small, frequent water changes. The lettuce on a clip is a good idea but try blanching it first so that it is more soluble. You can also try nori sea weed sheets on a clip, more natural and it might do the trick.
Good luck, you got your hands full. But hey, who doesn't like a challenge?

Lettuce on a clip is void of much nutrition. Feed them seaweed sheets on a clip instead. You can get this red or geen or brown at your local fish store. It is dried. Lesley

I knew the lettuce didn't have much nutrition, it was more of a treat, my foxface LOVES it. I alternate it with a seafood salad sheet from the LFS.
I had already fed them some, I put in some seaweed sheets soaked in vitamins, and the Powder Blue seems to be doing much better (no more tilting), the LFS said he could have been having some paralysis from the anenome. I don't know if that is true, but he does seem to be improving.
Thanks for the advice, I was pretty worried.

He didn't make it. He was on his side in one of the PVC "caves" this morning. I removed him and you could see the sting from the anenome covered about 30% of one side and the entire other side... Poor little thing, he never had a chance... The other fish seem to be taking the move to the hospital rather well though, so I guess that is good. Thanks for the advice yesterday...
