here is a pic of this thing not sure what it is and it used to open up i moved it to another tank the other day it has not opened since what do i do and how do i take care of it

Hmmmm, that looks like a very unhappy kenya tree coral. My kenya is in moderate flow and moderate lighting and it's doing great and growing. Maybe see if you can find a place that offers that in your tank. Corals do need some time to fully acclimate...so keep that in mind as well. All in all, they're really pretty hardy corals, just try to find a happy place for him.
