i am trying a few things here.
-see if i can actually put a pic here
-ask if i need better light, even though i cant have corals or anemones(hawaii state law)
- if, in the hood i have i can put in a better bulb without having to worry about new ballists.
- i just got the UGF out and filled with LS, and a whole bunch of new LR.
- any body got comments and such or where would be better for the power heads..etc etc...im open for any comment.

First off, nice tank.
I didn't know you couldn't keep inverts in Hawaii. That's a bummer. Of course, you could just hop off your front porch and go see them in their natural environment, so I guess its a fair trade.
As I have been told, in a fish only tank with live rock your basic lighting will be fine. You will just notice different coralline algae gradually dominate the live rock.
Again, nice looking tank. Seems the sand settled quickly for you.

thats why were are all here. i hope you dont think less of the advice after seeing the tank
. i have been playin it safe making sure my water readings dont go up.
but diving last night i got two tangs the size of the american quarter. i gotta attach a pic. the tang popo would get mad at a tang in a 55g but these guys are so small that a 20g would seem big. attach some before and after pics id love to see the diff.
i attached a pic. it is with my camera phone so excuse the lack of quality.
