That being said, if I continue the antibiotics for another 5 days...do a 50% water change and if so, am I to add 3 packets all at once to the new water?
This is what I would do......

OK.
Thanks. The water change will be tomorrow as today is day 5 of medicating.
Update..
SG currently 1.018

I think the blisters are looking smaller... could be just me being hopeful though. I will get more pics tomorrow, I am trying not to stress him out to bad.
Just so you all know. I got this fish cause he was only 15 bucks. His medicines have exceeded the cost of the actual fish.
LOL
This morning when I snuck up to his tank, he was swimming around. Of course when I turn on the room lights and look over his tank (cause he's in the rubbermaid bin) he finds his little corner and goes there.

SO....
I'm talking to my mom about my little fish, and my 3 QT tanks and the hypo and all that and you know what she says to me...
Now, bear in mind I never heard this before...
She says,
"You get it from your grandmother. Yeah, I remember she used to be like that with her seahorses. She had multiple tanks for her seahorses. One for pregos, one for babies, etc... We'd all make fun of her cause she sat in front of her tanks with a magnifying glass and she could tell you to the day when the babies would be born..."
I NEVER KNEW!! This was bred into me! This whole fish thing!
My stinkin gramma kept seahorses and BRED them 50 friggin years ago!! And my mom brings it up like it's nothing! I'm all astounded and I ask why she never told me. Ever so casually she says, "It never got brought up before".
Sheesh, my own grandmother bred seahorses and she didn't think about telling me cause it never got brought up??

Well I for one am floored.

That is pretty good being how difficult salt water was 50 years ago compared to today. See Tizz, you are a natural

That's what I told my mom! I can't believe she kept seahorses way back when! My mom told me she read everything she could get her hands on. But still I'm thinking, "How much can that be"

I just thought it was way cool!
Fish looks a little better today. Stinker need to eat though!

Thanks Al Mc.
This morning when I looked in on him, we was actively swimming around the "tank". He seems to actually LIKE to get caught in the current.
Still not eating though.
I am thinking of buying an algae covered rock at the LFS.
His sg is 1.020 now, so I can prolly add LR without any ill effects.

I will be Fedexing you any of my sick fish in the future!
Deal!
And I will FedEx you my kids when THEY get sick.

In about a week I will do my all out "thank you" thread. I wanna wait and be absolutely sure he lives. Or not, either way I will say thanks, but it's sweeter with a success story.

Great news Tizz. Well done. Garlic soaked, Selcon soaked food to help it build up it's strength.

Haha, thanks sep.
I was explaining to a guy today, and after actually saying out loud what I'm doing... Holy cow it's a miracle my kids are healthy for as much time as I spent on these fish.
The water changes, the salinity adjustments, the top offs, the pH calibration, the medication, the food, etc...
ON THREE TANKS!
Well, 'cept for the medicine.
I only have one Brute, lol.
crazy busy!
Thanks spanko too... I've been using garlic, now I think I'll get some selcon. Or is it zelcon?

I can barely handle the 10 year old I have. School year is over in 4 days.
