Lots of fish do that when there in a bucket getting acclimated, they all have unique reactions to the situation, I'll think he'll be fine once you get them in the tank.

I know that when I acclimated my 2 clowns, they were great the whole time...I'm convinced that clowns have a built in sense of adventure and nothing phases them...on the other hand when I acclimated my coral beauty angel and my pair of (really boring) bangaii cardinals they worried me a bit too. But once in the tank and having a bit of time to explore and move about (well, ok, not the cardinals  ) they've all been perfectly fine. Anyone interested in a pair of bangaii cardinals??

Ugh, they're SO beautiful, cool looking fish, but very sedate...I may be taking them back. Too bad, I really like the way they look, and I seriously thought they would be a great addition to my tank...hmmmm

Make sure you open the bags while acclimating your critters. Usually when shrimp turn over on their sides or get sluggish in bags it is because they do not have enough oxygen in there and are suffocating. The reason critters live for 2-3 days in shipping is because they inject pure oxygen into the bags.
When you buy a fish or critter at a lfs, they almost never inject oxygen.
