I set my tank up about six months ago and my live rock (Figi)has unsightly brown hair alge growing on it.
What should I do to combat this problem.
Any suggestions would help.

I've had a sea hare crawling around for months without any hair algae to eat. Mine seems happy with the diatoms that build up on the LR. I guess if you have absolutely no algae then they would starve.
But on the good side they are really easy to catch so if you need to him out it wouldnt be a problem

The light bulbs are about two weeks old.I do water changes about every two weeks 20%.
Should I do water changes more frequently?
Would this help with my alge problem?
