HELP! My Power is Out!

My power has gone out (stupid squirrel chewed everything) and I am worried about all my fish. How long can they stand it with nothing running and is there anything I can do. Power company said its gonna be several hours before they get it back running. Please help!

well my power went out for about 3 days and my fish were fine i have a 125 gallon and after the 3rd day i got a adapter for a battery to plug stuff into but they should be fine

Its supposed to be only hours, but you never know. Fishy7 , you just came up with a brilliant idea! They are very close and I just happen to have a really long extension cord. Thanks!!!!

Might want to run an airstone if you have one. My tank survied 10 days with just one stone running.
Sorry, I meant a battery operated air pump.

Hello All,
I keep a large marine battery in the garage on a trickle charge so if there is a lost power thing I am ready. I also have a 400 watt inverter. It comes with 2 outlets (converts DC to AC) cost $42.00 at Wal-Mart. I also have a few battery operated air pumps which are very cheap. Regards Tom C. :happyfish
