Help, My SoldierFish

The other day I noticed that his left eye was turning white. Over the last couple of days it has gotten whitter and much larger. I don't want to medicate my main tank. I have had this fish forever and I can't figure out why this happened. What can I do? I tested my water and it's
Am-0
rate-20-30ppm
rite-0
pH-8.2
My Nitrate used to be much lower, like a high yellow(10ppm), but has changed to a orange. I did a big water change not to long ago because of this, but it hasn't helped that level.

Sounds like a bacterial infection. You will need to treat him with antibiotics. I'm assuming you don't have a QT, but are you willing to set one up? Check out the FAQ Thread at the top of this forum for tips on setting up a QT.

Yeah I could set one up, but it's a pain in the ARSE. I am going to do a water change today and pull him out. I will use Maracyn2 in the tank.

Yes. Be sure to do a water change with aged water just before each redose of MaracynTwo.
