help my stealth pro exploded!!!!! Will my fish die?

Earlier this evening my husband and I noticed a noxious odour permeating the house. We searched extensively until we found the culprit. It turned out to be eminating from the sump in a fifty gallon grow out set up. The heater had shattered into a hundred pieces and left a horrible odour through out the house! So far the baby clowns (ranging from one to three months) seem okay but am really worrried for them as well as us. Does anyone know the effects of this odour? I tried to contact the company but it is eleven at night and no one is answering. I can't find any way to contact them via email We did a one quarter water change (that's all the premade water i had available) Needless to say we have made up forty gallons for water changes in the morning. Any help would be appreciated!!

sorry to hear it, do a quick google search and see how others dealt with the situation. i would set up another tank, and transfer the fishes asap

i was against the heaters way before the recall. i even asked them about the problems being reported about the heaters over the phone about a year back, and they hung up the phone on me. needless to say, i changed heaters asap
