HELP Need a protein skimmer for 125

I just want to welcome you to the site...I personally didn't like any of my HOB skimmers, I have had a terrible time with them. None of them skimmed very well, the Coralife was a microbubble horror, and the useless Cyclone was only second to the Bac-Pac it took a full month just to get 1/8 amount of skim in the collection cup, I was always tweaking them to try and get some skim.....I'm sure someone will chime in with some suggestions.
Ones I had, and didn't like (so you will know what not to buy)
Bac-Pac
Coralife (this one... I hated it the most)
Cyclone
I like the Octopus and the Tunz brand..However the ones I have experience with are in sump, not HOB

My price range is 450.00. I have read a lot about the reef octupos ones every time i get ready to purchase i read reviews were the pumps are loud and dont work. I have a sea clone now and it is 2 years old and getting to the point of adjustment every day to get it working replaced all the seals on it i think it is just worn out. Thank you for the help
