well i just plumbed my refugium to my main tank(its a gravity feed) my question is my refugium is a ECLIPSE SYSTEM 6 what i want to do is retrofit a small pc lamp in there .have any of you guys done this. and is it possible?if it is i kinda need detailed instructions because i am a noob at anything with lighting.thanks in advance~Gill~

nope its located above my tank and gravity pulls the water down into my main disply.that way all my pods and critter dont have to pass thru a pump motor.

well the tank is kinda small for that its a eclipse system 6 six gallon aquarium ideally i want to retofit a light into the existing hood canopy that came with it. i have heard of people doing it to eclipse 12's
I took the flap intitially so i could drop the plumbing in. My evap is about a gallon a day but i think because i have a fan flowing on the main tank and a mag 7 in the sump. I am going to get the pump out of the sump and see what happens.

i am at work right now but i have a link on my favorites at home that has retrofit lights for eclipse systems... i can send it to you wheh i get home if you email me. ccress@mail.csuchico.edu
sent.... how are you making it a refugum?
i had an eclipse 12 and also a 10 gallon that arent used, and i would think about using either for added filtration on my 20h if its easy inexpensive and possible

i did a water fall design. i have my 55 gallon on top of my dresser and my sistem six is on a box that makes the system 6 about 4 inches taller than my 55 gallon.there is a pump in the 55(rio190 i think) that pumps water out to the system 6. i drilled a 1 inch hole on the side of the refugium and placed a bulkhead there. next i ran tubing to a ball valve and then to a 90 degre elbow that flows the water into my main display if you want a picture to better see what i mean i can try and post one tomorrow its really simple and none of your pods get beat up either !
