Hey...I'm thinking about starting a nano. Please give me any advice yall have. I know that's sort of an open ended subject but I need as much help as I can get.

Really an advice is based on what size of tank you want. But the basics are all the same as larger tanks.
you need:
filter
skimmer (optional, but recommended)
Heater
Someway of moving the water (tank size dependant)
lighting
You would have to watch water levels closer than you do for a larger tank. I have a 20 gal and do 1-2 water checks a week. I am not sure if that many are required, but i like to do it so i do

Pretty much other than that, do a lot of reading on here. The Conscientous Marine Aquariast is a great book to get started with. I also read Saltwater Tanks for dummies.

I'm not new to the hobby, I've just never had a nano tank before. What are some things people normally put in them that are small enough to fit?

there is a lot of live rock, and you can pretty much put any small fish in there, any sort of damsel, including clowns, gobies, the only main difference is the bio load you can have in there compared to the bigger tank.

Bigger is better. The more water volume the more stability. Say a fish dies in a ten gallon and you can't find it in the LR you are probably going to have some problems. Another thing is top offs you would be suprised at how much can evaporate. If you have had prevous tanks ignore all of what I said you probably have heard this already anyway.
