Help!! On my Shroom

i dont know what going on i was looking at my tank after i did a water change and then 30 min. later my shroom looked like this

whats going on am lost is it normal

thats usually normal if u just dump the water in there. if u slowly add the water they shoudnt do that. they'll open back up

When u did a water change. Did you make sure you matched the water parameters with the tank parameters because corals are very sensitive to fast salinty changes as all inverts.

u should add water in slowly if there guts are coming out u put the water in to fast and disturbed then , they will be fine thuogh

Um y is ur ammonia at .25 it should be at zero and ur purple shrooms arent reacting as fast to the 40-50 ppm nitrate level because they are more hardier, but eventually with time they will die off. for a reef u should really keep them below 5 ppm. 40-50 ppm nitate is even bad for fish. You should bring that down, and are u sure that ur doin water changes with RO/DI. If You do tell me where you got it from and if its bottled already tell me wat is says on the label. Thanks Oh and u should really raise ur water gravity to 1.024-1.026, its better for fish in the long run and u should keep reef tanks in that range too.
