That's the plan. Now, I've just got to figure out how to get 50 gallons of RO water from the plant to the house! :)

you know the 5 gallon zepher hills or deer park jugs? get those. probably have them at home depot or something. maybe even a board member know where you can get them. get like 9-10 of those empty with caps and you can pull that one off easy.

Like wise not to come off sounding haughty, but someone in an earlier post asked if they should use a glass top to which you replied:
"I use glass and will continue to (1) keep fish from jumping and (2) to reduce evaporation. With the 4-year-old (pan left), it'll keep him out of it for a while now that we've moved the couch away from the tank!"
If you want star polyps take off the glass top. It's increasing heat. I wouldn't offer advice if my tank were in a state of dissarray. Just read and ask questions.

Funny Zotl. I see that the two are completely independent. How could the fact that I would (IMO) keep the glass to keep fish from jumping (found my old wrasse behind the tank one day when FO), and it will certainly reduce evaporation.
How in the world would those two facts have anything to do with the chemical imbalance I am experiencing? Moreover, I fully appreciate YOUR helpful insight, which was . . :notsure: . . nothing.
VIBE, I appreciate the suggestion. Someone at work mentioned it to me today and that's what I plan to do. Thanks.
