Ok, my clowns laid eggs again. I learned a method from another site, with which I was able to siphon out eggs and hatch them.
So, I now have 2 day old larva.
I currently have them in a goldfish bowl with flat sides. This was also learned from another site. Place a rigid airline 4/5 down one side of bowl. This causes a circular pattern of current. Not too strong. The fry manage the current well, and food(rotifers) are circulated right to them.
Seems to be working well, however I have 2 questions.
1. The goldfish bowl recommended was glass. I was only able to find acrylic/plastic. Do you believe there is an increased chance of bacteria, fungus growth in an acrylic tank?? I have a 10g glass tank in which I plan to transfer them when they reach meta. Do you think I should do it now??
2. I can't see the rots. I had a cultue going before the hatch. Placed all in tank with larva. I was afraid my culture may have crashed previous to this, so I got more from a fellow hobbyist. Put half of tha bottle in the tank and left the rest to culture further. I still can't see them. Maybe my old, blind eyes, but I am concerned about the fry starving. Do you beleive I can try newly hatched brine yet?? Or are the fry too small for these? Percula fry at 2 days old.
Thanks in advance.
