My zoos are closed and now my colt looks sick. What should my specific gravity be? I posted all my other stuff on another thread and I am just trying to figure it out

at 78-80 degrees you want your hydrometer to read 1.0262 - 1.0264 for an actual SG of about 1.024 which is the lowest reccomended SG for invertabretes.

do your evaporation top offs with salt water instead of fresh water over the next week or so untill your Sg is brought up. dont bring it up all at once you could induce osmotic shock in many of your creatures.

possible. it would be likely if it happened quickly such as dropping from acceptable levels to low during a waterchange. or if they were exposed to low SG for an extended period. but keep looking for other possibilities such as nitrates, ammonia, nitrites, etc.

Do you make your own salt water for water changes, or do you buy it at your lfs?
