yea and the greenish patch by the box (wet/dry) is chaeto.. the thing hangin off the skimmer is a low level cut off switch.. when it gets to a 45 degree angle, it cuts the pump off so #1 it wont burn out the return pump, and #2 it wont overflow the tank if somehow the overflow gets clogged or something

nope.. the canisters suck the water out of the tank, and force it back up to the tank.. they have an impeller inside, just like a power head does..

i wasnt either, but its pretty easy.. the water flows thru the overflow box, into the wet/dry which is in the sump.. then the bulkhead will allow the water to stay the same level in the fuge as in the sump..
the water will then flow thru my chaeto and to the return pump and back into the tank..

most of the canisters can be ran with no media in them, so u dont have to use carbon all the time

the canister could go under ur stand.. when u change the media, u close the valves so nothing leaks.. all u will see is the hoses in the back, and a small intake and return
