I have had lr and livestock in my tank for aweek now and my amm is still.25. After 4 days from putting the lr in and livestock and I did change the floor about 5 days prior to this with sand and got rid of the shells, the amm was .25 and the trate was about 10. I am not sure if my tank cycled properly about 6 months ago, may be it has not cause I dont think this cycle should be happening. Now i am getting alot of brown algae on my tank glass, is this normal??? I am so confused  of what to do so i might leave it for a week without doing water changes to see what happens. If the readings go up I will take out my live stock and put them in another tank?? or should I just do it now and then put in a raw shrimp to get things going to complete a cycle ????

Are you using a filter in the tank anywhere? Have you cleaned it? Are you missing a critter anywhere? Might have died on you?? Did you put all the live stock in at the same time? If so, this will spike your cycle some, and your system will have to catch up again. I'm hoping you find out what the problem is before it goes up anymore. No more putting in raw shrimp, if you have had your tank set up for 6 months, you seem to be going through a mini cycle again. Brown algea is normal, do you have any kind of clean up crew in there to eat it up for you? Nas, Turbo, bumblebee snails?? Hermits to eat the left overs?

I have cone shell snails and the one with a black shell and white spot. Got about 7 hermits 5 shrimps 1 CB shrimp. got two juvy tomclowns one hosts my anemone, the other just seems so hang in the corner seems depressed doesnt do much.
