Ok so I just bought a christmas wrasse from the lfs! Is he the same thing as the Ornate Wrasse or are they different?

I have seen many different Wrasses in Scott Michael's Marine Fishes book, but I have not seen nor heard of either one of yours

same thing - Halichoeres ornatissimus

I've seen Halichoeres cosmetus and Halichoeres ornatissimus labeled as both. Common names suck some times.
