hi,
just this afternoon I was cleaning my protein skimmer (cleaning out the water intake) and I was putting everything back together, plugged it in and as soon as the water got to the point where the intake tube joins the main tube the water started dripping out. There was still water pouring back into the tank, but I had a little puddle forming. I had this problem at first when I set it up, but it was becuase I was missing a piece. They sent me the piece and everything has been fine 'til now. I checked to make sure a little rubber-band sort of thing was connecting the tubes (that was the missing piece) and it was there. I adjusted it and tried again, but it still started dripping out. My skimmer is a Sea Clone 100. I have had it for about 1 year and a half. If you know anything about what the problem might be, please help! Here's a pic of the skimmer, down at the bottom where the small tube joins the main tube is where it is leaking.
