*HELP* put 200lbs LR in tank... and water is yellow dirty looking

carbon pads in your filter should clear the yellow out in a day or two.

i have the carbon sock and i filled it with carbon and i rinsed it for 30 min.. i put it behind the skimmer in the skimmer chamber since it has more flow than fuge and return i can but skimmer has more flow..i can put it in 1 of my overflows... i guess.

You can put a carbon filter anywhere in your system as long as it does not impede the flow of water through it.
Some floss filtration too may help remove dead particulate flowing out from your new LR.
Even tho LR is technically not cycling like DeadCuring rock..
There is a bit of cycle time beacuse of the new water its in, the slight difference in chemistry from the water where you got your LR from.
It still has some cycling to do. Give it a while.
Just a suggestion..

i just put it in my sump under the water... ill see if it works if not ill put it in my Overflow where alot of water hits it actually..
