i just put the live sand in my tank and it's cloudy as hell, can i start my potein skimmer now?

The cloud will take some time to clear up. Took about a week for mine to clear. If you dont have anything else in the tank but live sand then running the skimmer really wont do anything. However you can put a bag of carbon in your wet/dry near your pump and it will help clear up the tank.

Mine stayed cloudy for a day or two, settled down real fast. Also I only just got my skimmer running at 3 months.

minimize your water movement in your tank if you have nothing in there, that will help to clear up your water.

Dont turn anything in there. The sand will eat up the props that push the water.
