help red growth

hi im kindof new to saltwater tanks mines a reef tank i just added a couple of corals last week. i woke up and see red growth on sides of tank and on some of the live rock need to know what to do is it normal help please

ive had green algae growth that is somewhat normal, but never red.
can you get a pic?
is it slimy/stringy looking? probably cyano if so.
or is it spotty and really hard, like dried paint? could be coraline but I doubt it if it showed up overnight.

sounds like red slime algae...however you will need to provide more details. do you have pics?
How long has the tank been set up?
are you using RO/DI h20 to do top offs?
how much flow is i your tank?
What are your perameters?

no its not slimey its more like red paint the tank has been set up for about 5 months we had a 29 gallon set up for a year and we decided to set our 55 gallon up as salt so we just moved it all to the bigger tank and did a water change kept the water we had just added like a water change. our corals are doing great all out all levels are good fish doing great just some red splotchy stuff starting to grow i dont have a camera right now so i cant get pictures thanks for tryin to help though
