I'd say leave him alone for now. If he's trying that hard to get out, he will.
I did help mine get out. But this was after it seemed to give up on getting its self out, and this was about a week of violent shaking. In hindsight, I should have left mine alone too.

I refuse to let nature run its course when it is going to cost me money because one of my fish is going to die. If you practice what you preach then that would mean that when one of your fish got sick, all you would do is just let it run its course. So please don’t tell me to "let nature run its course" when it might cost me money. And by the way when we take fish out of their natural environment and put then in a glass box aren’t we disrupting the "natural way"?

Reeferdude, are you saying your shark is sick now? He is saying you should've left the shark alone. If you cut the shark out and it still had the yolk attatched it was probably to early. Your lfs guy sounds like he is in it for the money, not the love of the hobby. I'd take whatever he says with a grain of salt. You also will want to take the damsels and trigger out of your shark tank, or they will more likely than not kill him. Bo

I also think you should have left it alone for a while longer. If it still had yolk it wasn't ready to come out yet. Hatchlings use up all there yolk while they're in the egg usually.

Suprizingly enough none of the other fish are bugging him and he is doing fine. The yolk sac is getting smaller by the day and is now only the size of a very small grape. Thanks for all the advise!!!

I hope things stay the way they are now, because like grouper said, those fish will more likely than not kill the shark.

well the only guy i was worried about is that trigger but he is still very small and hasnt hit that agressive stage yet so he really just leaves the shark alone.
