I have a 2 yr old 75 gal. appox. 90lbs live sand ,over 150 lbs live rock and a few soft corals.
Stock list:
2x false perc clowns
1x banggai cardinal
1x yellow tang
1x foxface
2x scooter blennys
1x golden headed sleeper goby
2x cleaner shrimp
All fish have been in tank for over one and half years ,I had 2 golden headed sleeper goby both aggressively join in on the feeding frenzy

when I feed the tank.
about a month ago one of the gobys died
his stomach was shrunk in like he was malnutritioned now my remaining goby is showing the same signs

I feed frozen brine, spirulina, prime reef, for flake I feed omega one marine flakes with garlick and super veggie.
I also blend table shrimp, clams, squid for my fish only tank but feed to my reef tanks.
the goby eats every thing I feed but is still starving .
what can I do? this is one of my favorite fish Id hate to lose it.
can any one help.
sorry no pic's but the have lights have already turned off.

i had a goby and arrora to be exact. my conclusion was internal parasite..
he may be eating but the nutrition may not be there..

sorry for my slow responce just got home from a fishing trip ,caught a few sharks

I have to agree with the parasite idea .I held a flash light to the tank last night after the lights went out and saw tons of reef bugs crawling around the tank and my overflow box is always full of copepods which I add to the tank from time to time.
I will get some pics at feeding time.
If this is a parasite is there anything I can do and can this harm my other fish.
Thanks for everyones help.

I did a search on this-
marine internal parasite treatment
the wetwebmedia page has lots of info on diagnosis and treatment. You should know that most treatment should be done in quarantine. Good luck.

thanks Luca Brasi Ill check this out. quarantine is no problem catching him wont be easy since he has dug out caves under every base rock in the tank.

Quaratine has finally begun ended up using a home made trap to catch him.

got a bottal of Prazipro and a bottal of Anti-Parasite medicated fish food of internal parasites by jungle, anyone try either of this products?

after a few weeks of quaratine I am sad to report that my goby has died,
I found him on his back breathing heavy so I bagged him and took him to my veterinarian (a very good friend of mine ) to perform a autopsy, the goby had died within minuets of getting to my vet.
The good news no Parasites were found.what we did find was 3 obstructions in his digestive system each about the size of a pin head.this was probably large grains of sand. so I have learned my lesson no more goby's at least until I set up a tank with very fine sand.
