with sponges and stars, you really cannot avoid this, they are too sensitive to air
you are correct, but with these guys, you have to.

I would add an Air Pump (along with Air Stone) to the aquarium. This will help oxygenate the water column, which may help your fish. Remember that Ammonia is more toxic with a higher pH level.

Would anyone ever consider keeping a dog in a closet. Why not? You can keep a light on.You can feed it. It will live a long time. Aren't we forgetting the most important thing? IS IT HAPPY? I was going to direct this to a particular person, but something tells me he already knows everything.

bigmac, and others who want to flame for the overcrowded factor here, read the whole thread. Neither of us think it is a good idea and he is doing something about it, he did not buy, but rescued them and is making room for them as we speak.

what the asdhtpoqdlgq[ are you talking about??
last thing you want is an airstone and pump in that tank. They do not belong in sw tanks to start with, esp one with inverts like sponges

Can we come back to HKGAR's issue for a bit?
HKGAR, lets talk about your refuge, it has grape caulerpa in it and you have only cut it back one time in 2 months?? That should grow enough (with proper lighting) to cut back once a week or so. It MAY be the source of your problem, look at it carefully, is any of the caulerpa clear or white? If so cut all that is that color out.
Do you have any LR, LS in the refuge?
Have you put any creatures in the refuge?
A refugium is a great addition to any system, but it needs to be maintained as much as your display tank. Check things out and please repost..
I know that this thread has gone away from your problem and would like to try to help you further..

Big Mac,
Do you want to take these fish? Didn't think so. Until I find somebody who I know is going to take care of them properly which is kinda hard to find out here in the boondocks of Kansas than the 120 will have to do for now.
As for the rest of you, if everybody did as everybody else did there wouldn't be any progression in this hobby. Somebody had to try something new for you guys to spit out all the information/misinformation you do. I have never had a fish die except for 2 damsels when I was cycling my tank(i'm sure you guys havesomething to say about that too). Don't mistake this rant for anger cause I am a very laidback person. I just dont agree which is the beautiful right our troops are fighting for right now. Thank you all for your comments but I do not agree with only keepng 3 fish in a 150g tank. Maybe if they were Some huge fish or something but i have seen worse at pet shops. 2 ft sharks in 125's and stingrays in 0gtanks with LR all over the floor.:(
