I have a 12 gallon aquapod and the temp would always run high, all i did was turn the heater down to the lowest setting and see what the temp was, then i just turned up the heater untill it was right, my heater is set at 74 but the tank is at 79-80, its perfect

If you get into a bad situation float a bag of ice in a place where the water moves and that will help. With my 95gal it brought the temp down 2 degrees in like 5min,kinda freaky

no problem...you can't do it and go down to your buddies house and comeback because you will turn your tank into an igloo. When I did it I put my back of ice into my overflow box (built in tank one)
