Hi been along time since I have visited here .. kinda lost my zeal but now im back .. due to an unfortunate episode with my fresh water tank, it seems I will be giving the SW a try! Im looking at lights right now and I was curious what everyone thought of the Orbit 4x65w/lunar set up.
Im not looking to go all out just yet, more looking for a system that will alow me to get my feet wet with a simple reef set up. < again forgive me > I understand that certain lights can only sustain certain creatures, thats fine with me as im not hard core just yet.
Blabber fest of ~! Am I wasting money or is this a good starting point. the tank is a 48in 55 gal I have the tank so thats what im sticking with for now. Im sure it will grow as my desire for the hobby grows. thanks in advance for the help :help:
P.S If the light budget is 200-400 I am open to ideas

If it were me, I'd look into getting 2x250 watt halides with 14,000k or 20,000k bulbs and no other supplements or 2 Jebo Odyssea 4x65 watt power compact kits from that famous auction site for around 250$ shipped
and then if for some reason you decide you don't want to be a reefer someone will buy them for sure either locally or on this site in the classifieds, and then you won't be limited by the lighting as to what animals you can keep
just IMO

I have that set up on a 75g tank. FOWLR for the moment. Thinking to add some softies though, after I get over a certain brown particulate explosion...
So far I'm content with it. Of course, I'm rather new at the SW thing, so I'm at the stage where as long as the critters are still active, I'm content.
