well i got one of these from the lfs for 25 bucks and after he was acclimated al he is doing is lieing on the sand, my water is perfect nobodys bothering him theres no crabs to kill him so hes fien but he's not doing anything. he still moves when i come near. and has his color

No reason to worry, these are very shy fish at first. I have a rooster fairy wrasse, that unfortunately the only time I see it is when I feed the tank. I have only had mine for 2 weeks, so I am not too worried. As long as it looks good, yours will be fine. They do bunker down in the sand for sleep, and protection. Give it more time.
