How do I stop the hermit Crabs from eating the base of my colt coral? There are areas on the stalk that are dug out and the coral is not doing so well.
Any Advice???
Only other fish is a damsel that I can't catch to get rid of and a goby, and a cleaner shrimp, Brittle & Serpant Stars

Nudibranchs are the scientific name for sea slugs. There are many different kinds, but several species eat corals. This could be the problem, but just in case, what are your water parameters, such as salinity, PH, Alk, nitrates, ammonia, etc. How long have you had the colt? What kind of hermit crabs do you have?
