Yeah, this is why hypo > copper, it's like that commercial for diamonds, copper is forever. Personally, I have a bit of OCD and would never be able to use copper, I'd be TOO paranoid that no matter how much I washed my hands, the copper would get into my DT somehow.

I once read an article that says all salts that we buy have a tiny bit of copper.

whats the ppm required for treating a fish in the QT?

Should be on the Seachem Cupramine bottle. If I remember correctly it is 0.4..but better check to be sure. I have used the Cupramine and was happy with it. My biologic cycling remained intact for the entire 4 week treatment course I had. I would test daily and top off to acccount for evaporation with RO water.

Al, you had a fully cycled qt though right? Wasn't it cycled for awhile?

It depends on the type of copper that you use.
