Anyone have any ideas for quieting this overflow down at all? It gurgles quite a bit, and I can't figure it out. I added the cap on top of the vent, with a 1/4" hole drilled in it, and that helped a little, but it's still pretty distracting. Is it just a flawed design?
Thanks.
quick fix... cut that top tube with the cap almost to the t fitting and reglue the cap on... run a piece of plastic tubing (should also hang out of the hole about 6 inches) that sticks into the water inside the drain pvc through that 1/4inch hole in the cap. Should make it almost silent.

I'll try it right now, thanks!
no problem.. it seems like it'd work really well because that's essentially how my glass holes overflow is setup and its almost dead silent.

Appears to be working great, I think I picked up a little more flow too, and was able to open my return pump up a little more. Thanks a lot!
I'm glad it turned out well for ya.
