with brown algae how long has this tank been up?
What type of filtration system are you using? Canister filters, sump, etc.
You may want to test stores water, and for phosphates.

we have always had store water will test too we have a juwel tank with a juwel protein skimmer and sorry i no so little my bf brought all the stuff and i have just been doing the test feeding them ect on the website this is what is says next to the filter
The JUWEL Filter System consists of:
- 1 x heater (only incl. in complete aquariums)
- 1 x top heater holder (pic. 1)
- 1 x power head
- 1 x power head adapter
- 2 x outlet nozzles
- 3 pieces white pre-filter wool wrapped in plastic for protection (3 weeks supply)
- 1 active carbon sponge wrapped in plastic for protection
- 2 filter basket
- 1 green nitrate removal sponge wrapped in plastic
- 1 blue coarse filter sponge
- 1 blue fine filter sponge (in Compact Filter System, i.e. Rekord range) or
- 2 blue fine filter sponges (in Filter System Compact H, Standard H and Jumbo)
i then have 2 powerhead but tend keep one on since the clowns seem happy with just the 1 .
the tank has been up about 4-5 months
and i was guna ask if u think i sould feed the tank anything more shop says half a frozen square of brime shrimp aday n sould i give them anythink esle ?

During your water changes you should rinse out all the sponges in the water you are discarding. The sponges could be clogged and releasing ammonia and nitrates back into the tank. The wool prefilter should be thrown out every couple of weeks and replaced with new. Also when was the last time you changed the carbon? On feeding you should feed a variety of foods other than just brian shrimp, like mysis; formula marine blends and a veggie type of food. Feed frozen foods stay away from flake foods.

Spirulina benefits our body in many ways such as keeping your muscles strong and taut, your body firm and vigorous, as well as your brain intact and healthy. Spirulina is a popular nutritional supplement derived from two types of cyanobacteria namely Arthrospira platensis and Arthrospira maxima. The former is generally distributed in Asia, South America and Africa whereas the latter is found in Central America
Spirulina as a dietary supplement counts numerous spirulina benefits you and your family could enjoy such as:
1.- An increase in overall energy and productivity. Spirulina
is rich in proteins and vitamins that helps your body use and distribute energy sufficiently so that you are highly competitive and ready in any situation. Spirulina keeps you on-the-go, smart, happy, and active all the time.
2.- Spirulina is complete with all essential amino acids needed for the body’s growth and metabolism. Muscle building and fatty acid utilization are greatly facilitated because all necessary elements for body metabolism are available. Spirulina is a great supplement to add to your daily dietary and exercise practices. It is effective in helping lower cholesterol levels and increase lean muscle mass.
3.- Spirulina benefits involve keeping each cell in your body healthy by boosting the immune system and fighting free radical formation. Studies have shown that spirulina increases the production of immune system cells in the bone marrow thereby producing more red blood cells, T-cells, B-cells, and macrophages to help fight infection and foreign body invasion.
4.- The complete nutrient package in spirulina aids in cellular repair and health. Studies have shown that the amino acids and vitamins in Spirulina promote DNA synthesis to help the body build new cells and produce important products to heal damaged cells.
5.- If you want a beautiful and glowing outer physique, daily vitamin and nutrient intake will help you reach your goal. Spirulina benefits keep your skin’s cell healthy, moisturized, and protected, so make sure you take your daily supplements from now on.
