help! white "gook" on black sand.....???????

i have put some black sand in my tank and over the past few days there has been some white gook, or mold or slime i really dont know what it is, its kind of translucent but white at the same time. does anyone know what it is????

can you post a picture? It could be dead diatoms? who knows at this point also could just be detrious (poooop

i couldn't really get a clear picture...but here it is.
it's almost like a translucent, black, very light fur...

i have a better picture but i need to have my girlfriend upload it for me.... but now this is starting to spread over my live rock and kind of looks like white mold..... my tank has been up for like three months and everything was perfect till i added this black sand. please help!!!

ok i just scooped this stuff out and it stayed together kind of like a slim.... i smelled it when i took it out... and it didnt smell any differnet than my live rock when i take it out so i dont know. there is still a little bit that is on my live rock. please help!!

it could be some kind of sponge? Do a search for qtip sponge see if thats what it looks like
