Help with 14 gal nano please!

I just started a nano 14 gal which I will be transferring to a larger 29 gal. I have had my invertes and zoas in there for a week now but there is some gnarly looking algae growing that has gone crazy the last couple of days. My water levels are okay but my nites are are a little high. Does anyone know what this could be? It's goldish yellow and seems to be on all my live rock and hardware. I'll post a pic

looks to be diatoms. Ur tank is still new. Do u have a turkey baster with the rest of ur equipment? Maybe blow off the rocks and try that a lil at a time....should go away by itself eventually....if it gets to be like stringy/slimy (cyano) than maybe flow but u have a nice size powerhead in ur tank! How often and when do u do water changes?

Thanks for the response. That powerhead I have is not on cuz its too big for that nano tank. I have a smaller one sitting on top of it that is working but you can't see it in the pic. I'll try to blow it off the rock though. I do water changes weekly, about a gal at a time. I'm just waiting on my stand then I'm going to transfer it over to the bigger tank. What are Diatoms exactly?

diatoms are just phytoplakton alage that will die off when it eats all the silicates and other nutrients out of the tank... kinda like bottom of the food chain in ur little ocean.
Why not take that big powerhead out if its not on?
When are u gonna move the tank over to a bigger one? Id try and get this one more on track before movin it!

Well I figured that everything would balance out more in the larger tank, but it makes sense too to get this one on track as well. My stand should be here tomorrow though. Anything else I can do to fight off the diatoms? Or do I wait for them to just die off?
