i have the new tank up and running. Added live sand Finally the salt where I want it. Still very high on PH and ammonia. Nitrates and nitrites are both good. I am very scared to transfer my fish. Today I added prodcts for starting up a new tank to cycle it. Can I take part of my rocks out of my old tank and not upset the fish in the existing tank? And which is best, slowly remove my fish one or two at a time or just go for it? I need advice

Yes you can add some rock from the existing tank. Now your saying your ammonia is high? Thats good but dont add any fish until its finished cycling. How many fish are u transferring?

I have 8 to transfer. I did buy a pajama fish to be the first one put in the new tank. I have a dog faced puffer, saddleback puffer, a yellow tang, a trigger, yellow stripped snapper, long horned cow fish, and gobe I didn't think I should transfer my rock until I get the ph down and amonia down

How big is this card bc a few of your fish will take it as a meal. The ph is intresting, i never check mine mind you but if your salt is the same your ph should be an issue.

well they aren't that big now , they are both just 5 inches now. when the time comes I will get a bigger tank. but to tell you the truth, this whole thing has been a huge nightmare

well the biggest nightmare has been my husband. He wasn't too excited about the upgrade. He told me it was my baby. Well I bought a used tank from a good friend. Had no clue how to set up the sump, so had to figure that all out. then I had a leak where the flow goes into the chamber with the socks. I think I have finally got that fixed. Then hubby kept wanting to mess with the flow of the pump. I kept saying just leave it alone. No, he has to go and mess with it and then accidentally disconnects it and water is shooting everywhere. He gets mad, then leaves. I fix it go to plug it back in and lost power. Old tank isn't working now either. Called a friend who came down and fixed that. so now finally got things calmed down

Well the pajama was dead this morning. don't think the other fish bothered it. I really don't like to buy fish from this place. haven't had good luck. another question for you though. I have my ammonia corrected now, but the ph is still a little high. I took one of my rocks out of my old tank with algae on it and put it in the sump. Have I done the right thing
