Please post age and size of tank along with inhabitants and filters, pumps setup etc.

It looks brown so i would guess its diatoms. It will eventually disappear when your tank progresses. Its common is new tanks.

My 40g tanks been going for about 3 Months have regular charcoal filter and a skilter. 2 Clowns ,lemon goby, Bar Goby and a hermit crab. About 20 lbs live rock.
