I just noticed this white "thing" in my torch coral. I had noticed a small white ring before, but now it looks like a feather duster. It moves in and out and sort of looks like it is collecting food from the water as it flows. Its tough to get a picture becuase (lucky me) the torch is so open and flowing. If no one can i.d. I'll take a picture later when the torch has closed up.
Thank you to anyone who can help!

If it pulls in and out, and is more of a fan rather than a circle like a feather duster, I would reckon it might be a barnacle of some sort.
Tend to open and close far faster than feather dusters, and sometimes even move the "fan" according to currents. You may do a search for "boring barnacles" though they are not boring in the excitement sense :)
