just bought a new piece of LR from my LFS and have noticed since then something coming out of a different piece of LR that the nw piece is connected to.
it comes out of a small hole, with what seems to be at least 8 "arms." they are round and very small, but long! the longest reaching at least 5 inches! i have never seen what these arms are connected to. the arms seem to be sticky as they latch on to the LR and pull food, detritis back down into the hole.
every now and then a larger tube will pop out of the hole and squirt something out into the water. is squirts out like a cloud of visible something. not sure what it is squirting either
I have no idea what this could be, please help. i hope this is not harmfull to my tank.
