Help with baby clown trigger!!

OK just yesterday i got a fox face and a little baby clown trigger
well last night when i added them the fox face was doing really well, but the baby clown was doing fare to almost good
today when i woke up they were both swimming to gether on one side of the tank friendly
a little later i approached the tank and i guess startled it which i believe caused it to get swept by the current into one of the power head strainers
i quickly knocked him off of it then he kind of darted under a rock....and lodged his self there
i fed them earlier also and the fox face ate but the baby clown would not eat, i also noticed a little ick or something on his dorsal and anal fins
would the ick away safe for salt water tank buddies work for this, also do you think he will be ok after being sucked into the power head strainer???
his color dosent look all that bright yellow anymore either like in the store, and he didnt have the ick in the store either!!

If I am not mistaken, the survival rate on these small clowns is terrible.
And in the end, (this is blunt) that might be good for you- have you researched the limitations of this fish? It will, ultimately, require something around a 300g tank and probably kill off all your other fish in the process. They get big and quite nasty, IMO. Avoid the temptation when they are small and cute.
Having said that, there are two cures for ick, both of which require a QT set up - a full course of hyposalinity, or a copper treatment.
The fact that the trigger got sucked onto the powerhead indicates it is very weak, and probably will not survive. It can also mean your powerheads are pretty strong and need a prefilter.
But my guess is that the fish is just too weak, as many of these ultra-small juveniles are.

hey thanks, and i just checked to see if he was still where he was at and he wasnt he moved some where but still no sign of him so im guessing he wont come back out until night time.
so i may turn off all the power heads for a few days
i also added a little food to the tank but still no sign of him
im not about to raise all my rocks up looking for him either, im gonna go look 1 more time right before i turn off all my power heads
hope fully hell come out tonight when i turn the lights off
i know what will happen if he wont eat but does this usually happen to a newly added fish they dont eat for a few days??

if he has ick, and he is in your DT then u really need to take out all your fish because they will all probably get it, along with any other fish u get from now on. i learned this along with many other people on here, the hard way........

there is no way i can catch him now
wish i could though id take his {EDIT} back to the store since he is still MOVING i think i aint seen him in a few hours!!
if it dosent go away soon ill have to get rid of him when he gets older and more bolder plus im about to move any way so i guess ill just catch him then!!!

still no sign, damn i hope hes not dead!!!!
its not the money i really liked the little thing
if it is alive and its in hiding what are the chances that it will come out and eat???
when fish go into hiding like this do they typically die, or will they regain strength, and how long do they usually hide for???

When I had a FO tank I just ran copper in the tank. I know everyone loves hypo but It works.

Just have to realize the long term consequences of that decision, including health impacts on fish. It is, of course, fatal to inverts so you will not have any (not that you would with a clown) and basically ruins any rock you have should you change your mind in the future. You would need to closely monitor copper levels, and as mentioned there is research into the long term negative impact to fish health.

hope fully hell just get better on his own i dont think i wanna dose with any thing im not that experienced in that area
im about to go check my tank now since i just woke up from last night im about to give up if i dont see him swimming i think, i just hope the current bloes the body out to where i can scoop it up!!!
i think hell be ok i pray he will cause with all thats going on in my life right now i really need him to kind of hold my composure cause ive been wanting one for so long!!!!
