I moved my tank about a month and a half ago. The tank has been set up for a couple of years now, but when i move it from the bedroom to the living room i changed out my crused coral of live sand. Now i am having a brown stuff on the same areas of the sand bed. It appears about 2 to 3 days after a water change. I have a 150 gal, reef with 3 fish i have 2 maxi jet 1200 and a 2200 for the sump. My filteralization is a wet dry with skimmer and a refugium., could my tank be recycling from the sand bed switch if so what do i do?

I had a similar problem when I switched my tanks. I got my tank last year and after it cycled they had a recal on it. When I got my new tank I was afraid it would cycle again, but it didn't. It did get that brown algae in some areas and red in others. I kept doing water changes every couple days for a week and it cleared up.
