Do you have all of those in one tank Techgirl? If so could be some trouble down the road.

The CC star fish are known to go after the corals. But there are rare instances that they will leave them alone. Again this is rare. You are better off w/ a Brittle star fish
The anen. should be fine for the clowns. Just watch your hand if you have to go in to the tank for any reason as they will hurt.

thank you for the info. The clowns are new to the tank as of yesterday and do not seem interested in any of the anen's as of yet. They stay right by each other tho? Is this a sign that they might become mates you think??

Besides what has already been said, the only other issue you may encounter is territory. If one decides to move to where another one is, they will wage war on eachother and its not usually pretty. Good luck I hope they all play nice together. The color variations there are really cool.

Tec, hows your lighting? If you are keeping an anemone tank you are very limited to what you put in as far as corals. I see you are keeping some crushed coral,, Please pass on your tank perameters. Nitrate, Nitrite, Amonia, etc, FILTRATION...

The last one does not look good. The mouth is loose, which I hear is a bad sign.
Also, I hear that even though the anemones are not touching, they can still go to war from across the tank, esp in a small tank... they release little stinging cells which hurt everything else too....

Do you think having 5 anemones in a 44 pentagon is too many? how would I know if there is a war going on? All tank numbers are good. Lighting-well just realized the lfs might not gave best advise as it seems the yellow sebae is/has suffered. gonna upgrade to pc 4strip ASAP. Do you know how to tell if sebae has not survived?
thanks to you and anyone sharing their thoughts with me

They know that there are different species in the same tank with eachother. They can start a biochemical war if they get aggrivated enough. Make sure you use alot of carbon bags to help filter any if it happens you wont be able to tell. Anenome's dont like to be near each other even the same species and 44 gals is not a large space for 5 anenomes. Unless its one that split then they can coexist together. Im not saying its not possible but just be prepared it could get ugly.
If they ate a large meal or if they are getting ready to expel waste they can look a little out of sorts like the one in the bottom pic. Even deflate for a day or 2 thats not uncommon just keep an eye on it.

I don't know the official answer... there is this one person here... ouphuria (?) she has helped me a TON. But I DO know that I have a 125 gallon, and I was chastised for having THREE anemones. They were all different species... one BTA, one florida condii anemone and another large condi. The only one that survived was the BTA. And that one is still hanging on by its fingernails... it is bleached white and somedays I think it is going to die, but its actually getting a little bit of green back, so I think it's going to be ok

Water Parameters are these:
temp-78
salinity-1.024
ph-8.1
nitrate-5
nitrite-0
amonia-0
alkalinity-11.5
skimmer used, tank hangon filter, powerhead- the average. Need to upgrade lighting to better reach bottom of 44gal petagon, will be doing ASAP.

First, aside from making sure your water levels are ok which they dont seem to be bad. There isnt much you can do the toxins these guys will give off as far as i know cant be tested for. You will know if its dead, it will expel its intestines get very very faded and smell REALLY REALLY BAD, and shrivel up to almost nothing but a blob. Get it out of your tank asap if you see any of these symptoms occur. These things are volitle to your tank if they die and you dont catch them in time.
The only thing i would recomend to perk it up again would be to relocate it to a tank with no other anemomes.
